This Reserva holds a Cuvée of terroirs, 50% from our own vineyards in Rioja Alta, with an overage age of 25 years and the other 50% is a blend of old vines from Rioja Alta and Rioja Oriental. Pure elegance, from the nose to the aftertaste.

Dark maraschino cherry, with garnet glints at the edge; very deep. Harmonious blend of black cherry, liquorice, fig, pepper, clove, tobacco, and a hint of leather. Its expressive bouquet incites drinking. Fresh and tasty all the way through. A well-balanced, well-structured wine, with oaky blending seamlessly with black cherry and fruit preserve flavours, though the last remain longer.

AGING
18 months in new French-oak casks, 3 months in 22,000 L Allier-vats and 15 months in the bottle.

FOOD PAIRING
Very versatile, it goes well with both heavy dishes (e.g., lamb) and lighter ones, like tapas or fruity desserts. Suggestion: fresh goat cheese with quince or fig jam.

Ideal temperature: 14ºC.

    A classic, superb Rioja Gran Reserva, a wine that requires a minimum of 5 years cellaring (at least 2 years in casks) to yield a complex, layered wine, full of personality.

    In a reddish tone with rubi edge. Great aromatic complexity due to its long ageing. On the nose you find aromas of spices and such reduction leading to a slight hint of leather, and smoked aromas. The wood also provides memories of cocoa, toasty and coffee. His entry into the mouth leaves a nice wine, charming, powerful with good acidity and well balanced. From soft sweet tannins it has a smooth entry, nice fresh with long aftertaste.

    A wine with great personality in which the elegant fruitiness of the tempranillo (blackberry, blueberries) is to the fore, enriched with reminders of dry, fleshy
    fruit (dried apricot) together with the spices from its fine wood (cinnamon, tobacco, toasted oak) and a sweet, flowery touch.

    In the mouth it is aromatic, complex, full-bodied and balanced in structure, but smooth, with soft, integrated tannins which impregnate the palate with French and American oak, evoking reminders of liquorice. An elegant lingering finish with marked character.
